About me

I’m a PhD candidate at the Technical University of Munich, in the Multiscale Modeling of Fluid Materials group.

I work on machine learning for peptide discovery, using generative models and molecular simulations to study the structures peptides form.

I'm from Portugal and studied Informatics and Computing Engineering at the University of Porto, with an Erasmus exchange at Politecnico di Milano. My master's research focused on physics-informed models for solar-wind forecasting.

Previous work

Before starting my PhD, I worked on insurance pricing and causal inference at Prima Assicurazioni. I also spent a summer as a full-stack development intern at Jumpseller.

Programming. Python, C/C++, JavaScript, SQL.

Scientific computing. PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn.

Methods. Generative modeling, physics-informed learning, molecular simulation, causal inference.
